Founded in 1969 by Tom Taziker this Chorley based firm saw revenues to 31/3/22 soar to £73m a rise of more than 30% as the company expanded its operations outside of its core railway operations. This huge spurt in growth has driven the number or recruits from 80 to 366.

Taziker has embarked on numerous rail projects including:

• Lostwithiel Footbridge over Grenville Road level crossing, £1.845m of funding sourced, project to start Autumn 2022.
• Tay Rail Bridge
• Muntons Embankment, Stowmarket.
• Liverpool Street Station Restroom Refurbishment

But its strength lies in being multi-disciplined in five key operations which include, Infrastructure, Engineering Solutions, Environmental Engineering, Access Solutions and Industrial Services.  Within these operations they have core specialist skills and capabilities including structural strengthening, scaffolding, encapsulation, protective coatings, fabrication, geotechnical engineering and more.

The core leadership team at Taziker that have built the company from strength to strength include: CEO Steve Corcoran, Jane Ratcliffe CFO, Jason Worrall MD of Engineering Services, Neil Harrison MD of Infrastructure, Darren Jackson MD Client Services & Rob Usher Group HSQE Director.

In light of the great financial news Steve Corcoran, chief executive of Taziker, said the business had continued to successfully develop, expand, and diversify into new markets, as it built on its strategic objective to extend its multi-disciplinary engineering capability.

The increased volumes generated an operating profit in the year, improved by more than £2m to £3.8m a pre-tax profit of more than £5m.

Corcoran said Taziker had started the new financial year with a record secured order book in excess of £82m – more than 40% on the prior year with the tender pipeline also continuing to reflect a maintained growth opportunity.

“We are extremely pleased to announce these positive results, which were attained during a period of turmoil and disruption caused by the Covid pandemic.

“With our forward order book and future pipeline also at record levels, we maintain confidence that we will continue to see Taziker deliver sustainable revenue and earnings growth for the year ahead.”
