The signalling at TBASC for the Horsham Area was signed back into use at 0506 this morning along with Littlehaven LX. Thanks for all your support over the last 18 months (and longer for some of you!!) We have a few things to get through this week to close out Littlehaven and to commission the new Parsonage VHLC Level Crossing.
Hari Shankar - Associate Design Manager for Atkins gave a special thanks to the team at DigiSig Rail for their contribution to the upgrade of Parsonage Road & Littlehaven Level Crossing.
For the Macclesfield resignalling project Siemens Manchester approached DigiSig Rail to undertake the checking duties of the Westlock interlocking data, which they kindly accepted. The check was carried out with a high level of competence resulting in a low number of principle test logs. All the activities were completed within the time frames allowing the data to be signed off as planned. So many thanks DigiSig Rail for your assistance.
Thanks to you and your team for the slides, I understand that this request has been slightly disruptive and the requirement to produce them is moot, but they are appreciated
The report has been well received the quality and content viewed favourably. On Tuesday 5th the report is being reviewed with the PRE for the implications. I’ve been informed tentatively that the project will go forward. Just need to make sure the content is fully understood and route own the risks.
Well done guys, nice feedback on a quality job!
Having communicated with the management team at DigiSig Rail I can confirm that I scored their work excellent in the following areas: Meeting with all the contractual requirements. Timeliness of responses to queries or phone calls. Commitment of the management team. Handling of any complaints or suggestions. Overall, we also received a good commitment and work performance level especially when the programme was extended and costs were tight at the end.
All good with me. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Thanks for the help in getting these designs completed so quickly!
Thank you to yourself and your team in supporting a successful delivery at Crystal Palace. We appreciate the effort to get the job done & over the line.
After completion of the new SSI re-programming at Christon Bank Level Crossing trains which in the past often saw a yellow signal, should now see a green signal. On green signals, by utilising the line speed, conservative calculations state that every Northbound LNER train will save at least 25 seconds (Lumo and TPE should also see similar benefits) at Christon Bank. I have also estimated this rises to 35-40 seconds when we take acceleration and deceleration curves into account. Trains can now pass through the sectioni much quicker and road users will also benefit by seeing less barrier downtime.
“Good to get out with the team for the Commissioning of 2 x OFF Indicators at Haymarket. The commissioning of these assets added to last week’s commissioning at Perth has seen the successful completion of this scheme for the WD Scotland team. A positive result providing enhanced reliability and performance benefits at these key stations.”
DigiSig have produced both ES4 and ES5 designs for the Christon Bank Project to a high standard and met with all the the specific programme requirements.
“More thanks are due for the help to get two new Off Indicators installed at Haymarket, Eastbound platforms 1 & 3. Due to cluttered station furniture as well as usually busy services, signal sighting is difficult for our Train Managers at the rear of the train, meaning they may have to move to gain sight -causing us safety and performance risks. They have now been removed somewhat after the recent installation. What makes me particularly proud about this, is the suggestion came from our Aberdeen-based Train Managers, as I was able to raise a business case on their behalf, and get this over the line to make their job easier. Scotrail and other TOCs should see a benefit too!
