Alstom have announced that they are looking for young individuals who want a change in career or perhaps have just left college / school and are looking to earn whilst they learn valuable skills in the rail industry.
Alstom is showcasing roles all over the UK including major cities such as London, Birmingham and Glasgow. They are offering work opportunities in delivering AVENTRA – the biggest train programme in a generation, or HS2 the UK’s fastest ever train. Trainees could even be working on the designing and developing the latest signalling technologies, or even maintaining 66% of UK trains from Pendolinos to Elizabeth line trains.

Alstom opened its new Academy Centre during National Apprenticeship Week which was opened by Labour grandee Dame Margaret Beckett DBE PC MP, the Academy will help new apprentices develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career in the rail industry. It will also help to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with skills for the future.
On opening the Training Academy, Dame Margaret said, “It’s a real pleasure to open Alstom’s new National Training Centre during National Apprenticeship Week. I am delighted to see Alstom continuing to invest in Derby’s young people, and in the Litchurch Lane facility, the only factory in Britain with the capability to design, build and test new trains for the UK and for export.”
