What Social Value Means to us 🌏
As trusted signalling designers operating in the rail industry, we understand that the merits of our social value policy means that we should look at the broader impacts of our projects on society, the economy, and the environment.
As a business we comply with all relevant environmental legislation to ensure that our business activities can protect our environment for generations to come, including the Apprentices that we employ.
We support Entrepreneurship
We understand that rail projects often generate significant employment opportunities during construction, operation, and maintenance phases. This can lead to increased economic activity and improved livelihoods in the regions served by rail networks. For this reason, we support opportunities for gainful employment, entrepreneurship and where possible we like to work with smaller organisations to help them grow and flourish.
We Support our Employees
We also ensure our employees are kept safe whilst performing their duties in the office or out on track so that they return home safe & well to their families. And that they have access to education, recreation, friends and family, to boost their mental health and general wellbeing.
We Collaborate
Our Principles of Good Design mean that we collaborate with our customers & supply chain in the codesign and delivery of economic & efficient signalling infrastructure assets. We constantly review ways in which we can innovate and provide new technologies or services which deliver lower costs and/or higher quality services.
In summary we believe that social value in the rail industry is about creating positive, lasting impacts that go beyond the immediate benefits of rail transport. By focusing on environmental sustainability, economic growth, social inclusion, quality of life, cultural heritage, and safety, we believe that in the rail industry we can play a pivotal role in building a more sustainable and equitable society.
