In Honour of Remembrance Day 🌹
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.”
Remembrance Day is important because it is a day to honour and remember the men and women who have served and sacrificed their lives in wars and military operations. It’s a day to reflect on the cost of freedom and the bravery of those who protect it.
It also serves as a reminder of the horrors of war, with the hope that such conflicts can be avoided in the future. The day is marked by ceremonies, moments of silence, and the wearing of poppies, a symbol that comes from the poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae.
