Over 150 energy audits have been completed by Network Rail which identified significant potential to reduce carbon and energy usage. Each of the 5 partner contractors will undertake various energy efficient interventions worth over £40m in order to ensure that Network Rail meets is energy efficiency targets.
Johnson Controls won the biggest slice of the bid at £29m with M&M McHugh and Vital Energy securing works of more than £4m.
