🚦 Introducing The 57% Club – nope it’s not Heinz 🤣
At DigiSig Rail Group Ltd, we don’t just invest in signalling design—we invest in people. Over the past few years, we’ve committed heavily to training the next generation of young signalling design engineers, and today, we’re proud to say that 57% of our entire team started out as an Apprentice, or like Owen Naughton is coming to the end of his apprenticeship. Indeed, our very own Russell Simpson began his engineering journey as an apprentice toolmaker before transferring over to the rail industry.
That’s right—more than half of our engineers began their journey as apprentices, learning from the ground up. From their first day into their apprenticeship program, to becoming fully qualified professionals, they have each shaped the future of railway signalling. What’s more their stories are a testament to what’s possible with the right training, support, and determination.
💡 Why does this matter?
Because apprenticeships aren’t just about learning a trade—they’re about building careers, developing leaders, and ensuring that the UK rail industry has the talented young engineers that it needs to thrive. Our apprentices haven’t just joined the workforce; they’ve become an integral part of it.
🚀The 57% Apprenticeship Club – ‘is a celebration of our four apprentices who are now IRSE licenced designers, coming to the end of their level 4 apprenticeship & driving our business forward.’ Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing their incredible journeys—where they started, the challenges they overcame, and what these young engineers are achieving today.
👀 Stay tuned as we highlight the stories behind each of our brilliantly talented young engineers, proving to you, that when you invest in apprenticeships, you invest in the future.
